Position: Head Chef
Department:
Beach Gardens Hotel - Food & Beverage Division
Hours Per Week: Full Time
Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on experience

Requirements & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager and/or designate, the Head Chef is responsible for the day to day operations & management of Food Production.

• Attends management team meetings, provides input into & participates in the strategic plan for assigned areas of responsibility.

• Participates in the development of and implements policies and procedures in accordance external & internal governing regulations and educates staff, residents and other departments as required.

• Collects department statistics, and provides other related information as required by external and internal regulatory & licensing bodies by performing tasks such as gathering information, performing related audits, preparing summary reports identifying strengths, weaknesses and trends and proposing solutions.

• Responsible for all tasks related to the production and service of menu items using standardized recipes ensuring standard department policies, procedures and safe food handling techniques are used at all times.

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Food Services budget by monitoring expenditures and taking action as required. Provides input into capital and operating budget for assigned area

• Establishes production requirements according to the needs of the facility, orders and receives supplies as per established purchasing practices, resolves discrepancies with suppliers as required.

• Establishes and ensures maintenance of food rotations in storage / inventory in order to minimize spoilage and waste and maximize food quality & guarantees food safety.

• Practices and maintains cleanliness and sanitation according to required standards set by the Health Department and the facility.

• Participates in the development of & maintains seasonal 4-week rotational menus based on the likes, dislikes, requests and nutritional needs of the residents and tenants; in conjunction with site leadership team plans and deliver special events such as holiday and themed meals.

• Exceptional culinary skills demonstrated by 3 - 5 years experience working in a commercial kitchen (or related experience); previous leadership experience a must

Position: Dishwasher
Department:
The Seasider Bistro + Wine Bar + Patio
Hours Per Week: Full Time
Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on Experience

Requirements:
- Be reliable and able to work in a team environment
- Be available evenings and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks
- Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift
- Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, silverware, cookware, and storage containers
-Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab
- Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.

Position: Front Desk Agent
Department:
Beach Gardens Hotel - Rooms Division

Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on experience

Requirements:
- Knowledge of front desk system and hotel procedures is an asset
- Must have great communication skills
- Must be computer literate
- May be called upon to cover staff holidays and occasional employee sick days as needed
- Ability to work in a hectic environment an asset

Position: Night Auditor
Department:

Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on experience

Requirements:
- Must be familiar with basic bookkeeping principles and have experience with Microsoft Excel
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision
- Responsible for overnight reports, checking guests in/out, etc.
- Experience in hospitality and bookkeeping an asset
- Must be available for the night audit shift, 11pm-7am
- Training will be provided for the selected applicant

Position: Room Attendant
Department: Beach Gardens Hotel - Housekeeping
Hours Per Week: Varied - based on flow of business
Rate of Pay: Based on experience

Requirements:
- Hours per week are based upon flow of business
- Must be available for daytime shifts on weekdays, weekends & holidays.
- Specifically Sundays and short notice on some occasions
- Previous experience in hospitality housekeeping is an asset
- Being organized and flexible is a must
- training will be provided
- This is a physically demanding position that requires you to be on your feet for the full shift

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full cleaning of all guest rooms
- Stripping and making beds
- Cleaning washrooms
- Vacuuming and wiping down all room surfaces, etc.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary hotel

Position: Beer & Wine Store Clerks

Hours Per Week: TBD, Part-time
Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on experience

Requirements:
- Candidates must be 19+ years of age
- Valid Serving It Right certificate
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Available to work various day, evening and weekend shifts
- All other training will be provided during our introduction period

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cash handling
- Customer service
- Inventory control
- Stock receiving/replenishing
- Daily store maintenance
- Other duties as required

Position: Sous Chef
Department:

Requirements:

• Ambitious, a true foodie at heart!
• Experience and understanding of different cooking methods
• Well educated in food trends and following current events in the hospitality industry
• Create seamless flow of food out of the kitchen through planning and directing food preparation
• Maintain zero station downtime through attentive awareness of kitchen tools and equipment
• Keep the dollars and cents in check by supporting weekly inventory, labor cost and food cost reporting
• Exceptional culinary skills demonstrated by 3 - 5 years experience working in a commercial kitchen (or related experience); previous leadership experience a must
